How to Apply and Fees for the International Student Exchange Programs:

Our Selection Criteria for Study Abroad Program:

When you go out into the world as a YES Canada student, you take on the important role of Ambassador of your own home country, your community and your family. You're representing YES Canada too and we have worked hard to build a solid reputation on the international student exchange. We want your experience to be positive. We want our host families and schools to feel the same. We have created an application process and selection criteria that identifies students who will meet these objectives and benefit from a YES Canada high school student exchange program.

Here's what we're looking for:

• Students between 14 & 18 years of age.
• Students must have appropriate motives, commitment and maturity.
• The student's parents/guardian must support the application.
• The student must be enrolled in their own school district during the academic calendar year of the proposed exchange.
• The student must have an appropriate academic grade level and the ability to maintain this grade. We will evaluate each application on a case by case basis.
• Financial resources to manage the YES Canada Program Fees - Scholarships available! We can also provide advice on how to fundraise in your community.

Rates for the International Student Exchange Program:

Hungary:					5 Month Term: $4,700		10 Month Term: $5,500
Italy:	2 Month Term: $3,390		3 Month Term: $4,200		5 Month Term: $5,500		10 Month Term: 6,500

Mexico:					5 Month Term: $4,000		10 Month Term: $5,400

Payment Schedule:

Payment 1: $500 non-refundable deposit due upon receipt of application.
Payment 2: 50% of the balance due 90 days prior to departure.
Final Payment: Balance due 30 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy:

1.) The $500 application fee is non-refundable.
2.) In the event of cancellation 29 - 1 day(s) prior to departure 50% of the program fee is non-refundable.
3.) In the event of cancellation within 24 hours of departure 100% of the program fee is non-refundable.
4.) In the event the study program is terminated due to studnet non-compliance with the YES Canada study abroad rules and regulations no refund will be granted.
